Registered massage therapy involves the manipulation of soft tissues (muscles, tendons, ligaments, and connective tissues) by a qualified and licensed professional. It helps alleviate pain, reduce stress, improve mobility, and enhance overall well-being.
In most cases, you don’t need a doctor’s referral to book an appointment. However, some insurance plans require one for reimbursement, so it’s best to check with your provider.
Please arrive 5 minutes before you scheduled appointment. Your Massage Therapist will greet you, and bring you into the clinic room. They will review your health history form with you, discuss your goals for massage, and perform a movement assessment with you. After outlining the days treatment plan with you, you will begin the massage. After the massage, the RMT may give you some remedial exercises to continue your care at home.
Yes! Our clinic is wheelchair accessible, and all treatment rooms are fully accessible. Our bathroom door is not wide enough for a wheelchair, but don’t worry—we’re happy to assist and have access to a fully accessible washroom in the main building, just up the elevator.
Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins released during the massage. Avoid intense physical activity for a few hours, and listen to your body—rest if needed.
You have up to 24 hours before your appointment to cancel, reschedule or make any needed changes. Any no shows, cancellations or modifications within the 24 hr period may be subject to a full service charge.
We are human too and we understand emergencies, illnesses and other things come up. Please let us know the reason you are not able to commit to your appointment and we would be happy to reschedule. We value our clients time, so please value ours!
We accept Cash, Credit & E-transfer.
All services that we provide are covered by most insurance packages. Please call your insurance provider to confirm your benefit amounts!
Please be advised that Body Kinnection does NOT do direct billing. Payment at time of service is required, and it is the clients responsibility to submit to their insurance for reimbursement.
Tipping is neither required nor expected, but of course we appreciate the gesture! Our massage therapists do not depend on tips, but if you would like you can leave a cash tip at checkout.
The best appreciation you can show is by referring your friends and family to us and letting them know about the amazing benefits of massage therapy!
